Blend of rounded + rectangle. In 1981, a function for quickly creating rounded rectangles was added to the Apple program LisaGraf (later renamed QuickDraw) created by Bill Atkinson at the request of Steve Jobs, with the program referring to this shape as the "RoundRect."
