  1. To restrain too much.

    • Don't overrestrain the mind once it is no longer racing, or overstimulate it once it is no longer sluggish, but recognize that the antidotes have worked and return to your normal practice.
    • Consequently, metal becomes too weak to overrestrain wood and wood gradually recovers, which makes the system of Five Elements come back to balance (Figure 5-19).
