  1. To distribute too much or too widely.

    • A foundation working to the dollar may find it has underdistributed or overdistributed upon final calculation. There is much work required for but no benefit obtained from a perfectly calculated distribution figure.
    • What we don’t want is people overdistributing by share buybacks or overpaying dividends and not investing for the long term.
