    • There are two types of deglossers. The old ones consists of a combination of strong solvents and I do not recommend them for use by a home owner. The new deglossers (liquid sandpaper) clean and degloss in one easy step.
    • Pour a solvent such as paint thinner, mineral spirits, or a liquid sandpaper product in a metal can or enamel bowl. Wear protective gloves.
