    • We freedom-camped along some unnamed river in the Northland, aka illegally parked overnight somewhere to sleep.
    • We took a boat ride across the lake and I was reminded that my son had told me rumors about the “bush” Maori living in the hills who often rattled the folk who freedom camped around the lake, as this was their land after all.
