- Chlorophyl pigments from the guts are extracted in 4 to 10 ml of either 90% acetone or 100% methanol at 4°C in the darkness.
- Pure chlorophyl in large doses has no effect on the speed of hemoglobin regeneration after hemorrhage. It seems that large doses are toxic to the bone marrow.
