Popularised on social media service TikTok in late 2022 and early 2023; it emerged in response to a viral video posted on the service that featured a clip from the American reality television series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in which model Yolanda Hadid instructs her daughter Gigi to eat almonds because she feels weak.
