    • Boolean logic can be shown to be "embedded" in integer arithmetic (modulo 2) by assigning polynomials to logical connectives, like so: operatorname NOT(x)=1-x,  operatorname AND(x,y)=xy,  operatorname OR(x,y)=x+y-xy.
